The Science Days is an annual Norwegian festival where research institutions are invited to present their results to the public. The EU project TAG CLOUD, related to culture, had a stand during the research fair in Trondheim on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 September. While schools were invited on Friday (children aged 9-12 years before lunch and 13-15 after lunch), the event was open for all on Saturday.

We presented the mobile and social app “stedr” that supports retrieving digital stories about cultural places and sharing new stories. Visitors were invited to sign up as test users for “stedr” and other apps developed in TAG CLOUD. We conducted the culture quiz “What do you know about your city?”. This is part of our effort to integrate support for quiz in “stedr”. The Science Days also gave us the opportunity to conduct a survey about the public digital and cultural habits.

Our stand was well visited by curious children, seniors and families. We see that stories about the cultural heritage of our city engage people.
